Nahwa al-Muwatiniya (Na-am) is a Lebanese NGO based in Beirut. Established by Lebanese young professionals and activists in January 2005, the founders are individuals from all walks of life and from a mosaic of political, cultural, and religious backgrounds. It works towards effective democracy and promotes engaged and informed participation of citizens in public affairs through 4 main strategies: dialogue, education & awareness, advocacy & lobbying, and research.

Position 1 : General Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Model citizenship behavior that Na-am promotes on a personal and professional basis
- Ensure that Na-am’s vision, values, and social contract are respected
- Preserve Na-am’s image, political independence, and project’s integrity
- Be the guardian of Na-am’s financial and operational transparency and accountability
- Serve Na-am’s human resources to achieve organization aspirations
- Oversee Na-am’s impact and quality in all regions
- Ensure Na-am’s financial and operational sustainability
- Build and sustain relationships with INGO’s, local NGO’s and other stakeholders
- Coordinate between all staff members on project & organizational issues
- Ensure all deadlines are timely met and support is given to make this happen
- Provide support in managing projects
Educational Background and Experience
- University degree is required and MA preferred
- Private sector experience, and business background preferred
- 5+ years work experience
Qualifications
- Interest in political affairs
- Politically independent
- Excellent leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

- manage the cash flow in and out of the organization
- be involved in deciding on the financial and business viability of new and existing projects
- analyze financial records such as payroll and income trends
- record all financial transactions
- plan and prepare budgets and financial reports, such as the annual report, according to
- organizational goals, Donors financial report, Board Financial report
- analyze and monitor the effect of budget or policy changes on the organization’s productivity
- plan and manage computer systems that record and store financial information
- ensure financial accounts are completed
- Coordinate with operations manager and project coordinators to prepare and adjust project budget
- Monitor spending deadlines for all projects
- Coordinate with donors on financial issues
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure that issues raised, as a result of their review, are properly addressed
Educational Background and Experience
- University degree in business
- Accounting and budget experience

Position 3 : Administrative Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Model citizenship behavior that Na-am promotes on a personal and professional basis.
- Make sure that Na-am’s vision, values and social contract are respected.
- Design, implement, and maintain a filing system
- Update all financial statements and records of Na-am all - operational and project on a daily basis
- Coordinate with the accountant to ensure regular updating of all financial records
- Attend weekly staff meetings and communicate the minutes
- Set up Board meetings of Na-am
- Obtain all office materials and ensure the office is equipped
- Provide support to all staff in the design and printing of all material
- Take charge of legal paperwork.
Educational Background and Experience
- University degree required
- One year of experience
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively
- Highly organized
- Fluent Arabic and English

Position 4 : Development and Communication Coordinator
Responsibilities

- Support and serve project coordinators in planning events and activities
- Enhance Na-am 's relationship with media
- Seek creative funding opportunities and follow-up on them
- Write and fill out grant proposals
- Create and maintain a membership database
- Follow-up and update members
- Maintain and update the website of Na-am
- Prepare Na-am newsletters
- Attend weekly staff meeting
Educational Background and Experience
- University degree
- 2 years of experience
- Media & event planning experience preferred
Qualifications
- Interest working in political field

Position 6 : Project Coordinator
Responsibilities

- Participate in the design, planning, and implementation of the project
- Build and sustain local networks

Educational Background and Experience
- University graduate with 1+ years employment experience
- Experience working with youth
- Employment experience with civil society or volunteering experience
Qualifications
- High team spirit & excellent people skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively
- Demonstrated abilities to take initiatives, build consensus and make things happen.
- Able to work full time, and overtime when necessary
